Living Earth Uganda is non profit making organization, running environmental and development programme in Uganda is seeking to recruit a mature, dynamic, and energetic, self motivated and results oriented profession, PROJECT MANAGER for Improved Conditions in Urban Slums project.
The Project Manager shall be answerable to the Executive Director of Living Earth Uganda and shall be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the project activities.He/She shall be responsible for the proper interpretation and
translation of the Project work plan into action on the ground within the stipulated time frame. He/She shall support the Executive Director of Living Earth Uganda in implementing decisions of Project Advisory Committee, and shall also facilitate, monitor and supervise the implementation of activities by all stakeholders at the local level.
Job requirements:
• Degree -level education in social sciences, social work and social administration, environmental science, and business related from a recognized university
• A post graduate qualification in project planning and management is an added advantage
• Proven team work and leadership, budgetary control and analytical skills
• Training, facilitation and supervisory skills
• Fluency in oral and written English and Luganda
• Demonstrable experience of at least 3 years in managing similar projects before
• Hands on experience in using MS word, Excel power point presentation
The initial contract is for one year, with possibility for renewal subject to performance.
