The company is seeking a qualified Manager for its Logistics Division reporting to the the General Manager in Uganda and the group Logistics Manager in 
Switzerland.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent with 5 years work experience including logistics.
• Knowledge in depth of the import and export of goods, clearing and forwarding, transit, storage and warehousing and insurance. Actual experience of coffee or other commodities logistics would be a distinct advantage.
• Demonstrable business acumen coupled with excellent negotiating skills.
• High levels of numeracy, written and verbal communication and other personal skills,
THE POSITION
This is a key managerial position within the company and the East African region. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate his or her ability to:
• Assume overall responsibility and manage teams responsible for the group's logistics operations in Uganda and the wider East African region,
•Negotiate optimum logistics solutions by road, rail, lake and sea with transporters, railways, clearing agents, shipping lines, warehouse operators, collateral managers and other agencies.
• Prepare logistics budgets, projections and management reports and keep management informed of ail relevant logistics developments and trends.
Critically review the performance of the division and take suitable action to improve it.
•Instill a creative attitude and train staff to optimize their performance and effectiveness.
