We are seeking to recruit a ICT Manager with a high sense of confidentiality, good organization and planning skills, good interpersonal skills and who can demonstrate sound work ethics.
The Job
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the position will be based in our head office Karen – Nairobi supporting all the Group farms.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
1.Responsible for formulation of the Group’s ICT Policy and implementation of the same.
2. Manages all the companies’ software, hardware and other IT equipment at all levels in the group.
3. Responsible for managing and coordinating all the ICT functions and staff of the group companies
4. Responsible for enhancements of existing systems or implementation of new systems
5. Initiates and implements improvements in all areas of IT responsibility.
6. Ensure 24/ 7 user support through helpdesk administration
7. Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company’s infrastructure, and ensures that the company’s LAN and WAN are operational 24 x 7
8. Ensure the entire ICT security is guaranteed at all times from both internal and external intrusion;
9. Employ the best practise standards in data storage and disaster recovery procedures
10. Trains all end users on the use of ICT systems and equipment through both formal and informal training programs
11. Relays relevant IT-related information to the company in a timely manner
12. Oversees the administrative function of the ICT department while at the same time challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
• Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent
• Cisco CCNA
• Training on database management will be an added advantage
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Minimum of two years experience in a busy ICT environment
• Reasonable experience in SQL database management
• Hardware and system maintenance skills;
• Good experience in e-mail and website management;
• Software application management skills;
• Knowledge of ERP systems;
• Database management skills;
• Interpersonal skills and team player
