Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu: Jobs and Vacancies in Kenya

The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu is an institution of the Aga Khan Health Service, Kenya which is an agency of The Aga Khan Development Network.

The Hospital has affirmed its quality services by achieving and maintaining ISO 9001:2008 accreditation, and is moving towards higher standards of quality and clinical excellence. The hospital, experiencing increased demand for its services needs to fill the following positions to meet this demand.

OBSTETRICIAN/GYNAECOLOGIST

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide quality Obstetrics and Gynecology services to both outpatients and inpatients. He/she will be expected to be an active member of the health care team in the hospital and to contribute to the continuing professional development programmes of the hospital.
REQUIREMENTS
• M.Med. in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Nairobi or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Must be Registered/Licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
• At least two years post graduate working experience.
• Knowledge and interest in Laparoscopy will be an added advantage.
• The candidate will be required to demonstrate the drive, desire and ability to enhance the scope of MCH Services to increase access and satisfaction beyond our customer expectation.

HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will provide a range of human resource functions under the direction of the Human Resource Manager, which will include but not limited to maintenance of an up-to-date personnel database, management of employee assisted programs among others.
REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Human Resource Management or Business related field with professional qualification in HRM.
• Excellent knowledge of Kenya labour laws.
• Working knowledge of Ms Office computer packages.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
• At least two years working experience preferably in a reputable health care institution.

PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide quality Pharmacy services to both outpatients and patients. He/she will be expected to be an active member of the health care team in the hospital and to contribute to the continuing professional development programmes of the hospital. She/he should be ready to cover night duties
REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from MTC or any recognized institution.
• Must be registered and licensed by the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
• At least one year working experience in a busy pharmacy.
• Knowledge of computer packages will be an added advantage.

MEDICAL SECRETARY
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will provide secretarial services to Resident clinicians and coordinate effectively with other departments.
REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma in Medical Secretarial studies or equivalent.
• Excellent skills in MS Office packages.
• Three years working experience preferably in a busy health institution.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
• Knowledge in Front Office Operations and accounting is essential.
• Typing speed 50WPM, 80WPM shorthand.
• Must have excellent organizational, PR and communication skills.
