County Council of Nandi is seeking to recruit self driven, dynamic and competent staff for the following vacant posts.

1. Accountant III

1 Post

Salary Scale 10

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist immediate senior officers in completing specific accounting assignments and maintenance of books of accounts in accordance with the financial regulations
• They will in addition, supervise junior officers working under them among others

Requirements:

• Candidate must have served as Accounts Assistant for at least two years and have been confirmed in appointment in addition they must have passed (ACNC I & II) K.A.T.C.E
• The candidate must have passed Part I of certified Public Accounts (Kenya) examination equivalent to Part I of CPA (K)

2. Revenue Accountant

Duties & Responsibilities:

• He/she will supervise revenue collection operations of routine nature and report on their operation to their immediate seniors

Requirements:

• 2 years experience in relevant field
• Must have served as Revenue Clerk SS.12 or in a similar position
• The candidate must have passed Part 1 of Certified Public Accountant (K) exam

3. Market Inspector

Salary Scale 10

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure council revenue in Markets is collected and assists in supervision of staff in market section

Requirements:

• K.C.S.E. C-
• CPA I and above
• Not less than 3 years experience and or at the grade of Market Inspector II
• Must have attended a supervisory course at any government training institution

4. Computer Programmer

1 Post

Salary Scale 10

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The officer will carry out the duties of a programmer i.e coordinating and directing the systems

Requirements:

• Have served satisfactorily in the grade of senior computer operator, SS. II and or equivalent for at least two years
• Have shown merit and ability in work performance and results
• Diploma and above in Computer Programming

5. Clerical Officer

Salary Scale 14

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Duties will include carrying out varied Clerical tasks under limited supervision

Requirements:

For appointment to the grade of Clerical Officer, an officer must:

• Have served satisfactorily in the grade of Clerical Officer III for at least 2 years and have passed KATC Final, KCSE C-
• Have shown merit and ability in work performance results

6. Driver (Plant Operator)

1 Post

Salary Scale 16

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carrying out routine checks on the vehicles (Grader) cooling and oil systems
• Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicle systems
• Maintenance of work-tickets for vehicles assigned to him/her
• Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle among others

Requirements:

• Form IV certificate
• Have a current driving license free from current endorsement and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the candidate is required to drive/operate
• Have at least two (2) years previous satisfactory driving/operating experience after obtaining the driving operating license

7. Market Attendant

1 Post

Salary Scale 18

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collection of revenue and general cleanliness of market
• Assist supervision of staff involved in revenue collection

Requirements:

• K.C.S.E or equivalent certificate
• Experience in a busy institution for at least 3 years.
