SecondaryTeachers(Maths,physics,Chem,Bios) : Jobs and Vacancies in Uganda

MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SPORTS

The SESEMAT programme under the ministry of education and sports invites applicants to fill full-time posts of national trainers', which include:

4 posts for the teachers from secondary schools [I per subject of mathematics, physics, chemistry and Biology]

Responsibilities:
• The roles and responsibilities of the national trainers shall be;
• To organize and conduct the training sessions in their respective subjects
• To develop training curriculum, manuals in any related instruction materials
• To collaboratively develop the annual and quarterly work plans
• To collaboratively monitor and evaluate the programme
• To carry out needs assessment and any other relevant research
• To Support and supervise district trainers
• To write reports of SESEMAT activities

Requirements:
NTs should have the following requirements
• B.Sc.ba/Ed. or B.Sc and B.A with a diploma in education
• Post graduate degree is an added advantage
• At least eight [8] continuous years of practice of particularly teaching at either secondary or higher educational institutions
•Sound practical knowledge in any two of the following subjects; mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology
•Computer literacy is an added advantage
•Serving teachers/Tutors at both government and private institutions are encouraged to apply
•Female candidates are encouraged to Apply
•Terms of service
•Contract based employment
•Terms of contact: one year (1) renewable on commendable performance
•For the successful candidate, leave of Absence will be granted
•Station of work- Kampala
•Salary and Allowance U-3 upper (fixed)
•Other fringe benefits are attractive
