PACE (Uganda): Communications and information Management Specialist

Programme for Accessible health, Communication and Education is a non-governmental organization operating under the mandate of die Ministry OF Health in the areas of Malaria, HIV/AIDS, Safe Water and Reproductive Health to provide Sow cost and affordable health products, services and communication to vulnerable populations so as to improve their overall health status.

POSITION: Communications and information Management Specialist
COMMITMENT: Full Time
REPORTS TO: Deputy Marketing and Communications Director
Job Summary: To ensure that marketing work plans for all PACE products

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Advise and provide leadership on technical matters to the community mobilization coordinators with a focus on marketing and behavioral impact communications for all PACE products and services
• Train, supervise, mentor and provide technical assistance to Community Based Organizations on the implementation of IPC/8CC activities
• Document evidence to decision making processes for a marketing activities
• Prepare creative briefs, for the development of target appropriate EC and BCC materials for alt PACE programs
• Develop and implement communication strategies for various PACE programs.
• Liaise with program managers to develop BCC
• Document implementation processes and outcomes for all PACE programs arid develop case studies for publication and sharing of best practices
• Maintain a comprehensive database on all communications/marketing process level indicators
• Liaise with the graphics manager to develop and design 1EC materials
• Disseminate key information about PACE to external stakeholders through various communication tools
• Represent PACE at MoH communications related meetings and technical working groups
• Perform other duties as ass Communications.

Qualifications and Competencies:
• Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, Anthropology, Social Sciences or related field
• Advanced degree preferred
• 3 years experience developing communication materials
• Experience in supervising teams
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate training events
• Excellent verbal and written communication skiffs
• Combined experience with the private sector and Non-governmental organization is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work with various partners including donors, MoH, Local governments, CBO's arid NGO's
• Has communications competency, analytical/ exploratory outlook, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
