Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (Uganda): National Project Managers:

Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund [ASB - Workers' Samaritan Federation] is an international non-profit, non-denominational NGO, working in the development and relief sector. Ever since the founding of ASB in 1888, humanitarian and democratic principles have been at the foundation of its work, both abroad and at home. ASB activities in Uganda started in 2005 with branch offices in Kampala, Lira, Pader, Katakwi and Amuria. Activities range from Food Security and Agriculture Livelihood projects, in Oyam,Apach, Katakwi and Pader Districts; Child Protection in Lango, Teso and Karamoja sub-regions;protect ion and Camp Management/Camp Phase Out (CCCM/CPO) in Pader and Teso regions.

To support our activities in Uganda, ASB is looking to recruit committed Ugandan nationals for the following positions:

National Project Managers:

As part of the sub office management team to be responsible for the overall coordination, management and implementation of program activities as delegated by the Head of Sub Office
• Participate with the sub office management team in developing the area strategy and associated project implementation plans/ budget
• Monitor issues in the project area, making detailed reports with recommendations to the management team regarding needs, vulnerabilities/capacities and appropriate responses
• Manage detailed project budgets in fulfillment of specified activities, outputs and objectives
• Provide leadership and support to project team to ensure effective management and timely implementation of work plans and budgets.

Essential requirements:
• An advanced degree from a recognized university
• Fluency in English and a local language (preferably Ateso, Luo and NgaKaramojong)
• 4 years experience in working with projects/programs and the Non Governmental Sector
• Minimum of 2 years experience at supervisory or project managerial level.
