Senior Internal Auditor Ref: RM_SIA_JULY 2010
Reporting to the Senior Manager Internal Audit, the profile of the position is as detailed below:
Job Summary:
Perform business risk analysis by reviewing business processes, prioritizing the risks identified and providing proactive recommendations on control issues;
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake execution of specific audit assignments as dictated by the audit plan
* Identify and discuss all control weaknesses and recommendations with management;
* Identify and promote good business practice within the company
* Monitor the implementation & operation of defined controls and recommendations on an ongoing basis.
* Ensure that execution of audit assignments is within defined timeliness.
Minimum Requirements:
* Upper second degree in Business or Commerce or other relevant degree from a recognized University
* Fully qualified CPA(K)
* Qualified CIA or working towards attaining the qualification.
* IT knowledge – an understanding of the working of various systems and use of computer aided auditing techniques (CAAT).
* 5 years internal audit experience from a reputable organization
* Knowledge of accounting packages, specifically an ERP
* Must be a team player with good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
* Ability to meet strict deadlines and work with limited supervision
