We seek a qualified and experienced individual to join us as a telecoms roaming engineer Individuals who have previous telecoms experience have an added advantage
Basic Purpose:
Responsible for IREG testing for new roaming partners and roaming test validation.
Coordinates the testing both internally between department and with external roaming partners.
Maintain a database for all roaming partners with the test status.
Configures new IMSI ranges and MCC (Mobile Country Codes) and MNC (Mobile Network Codes) on the core network (HLR and MSC).
Develop and/or validate test books for new services or existing services. Support roaming partners with testing the roaming services on our network
Minimum requirements:
University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (telecoms or electrical and Electronics) , Information systems or Equivalent
Training in Operating systems especially sun Solaris and HP-UX etc .
Training databases especially oracle 8i, 9i and 10g, SQL
Training in scripting especially Perl, shell and awk.
Team management, project management and communication.
GSM Billing system and value added services training.
Project and people management training
Telecoms experience is an added advantage.
