The Kenya Catholic Secretariat is looking for a Position of HIV/AIDS Program Manager.
This position exists to build the capacity of KEC and the Catholic Health Commission in oversight of Clinical HIV/AIDS programs and to improve the profile of KEC HIV&AIDS services.
Description of Work:
1. Participates in technical assistance activities- Site Visits, Training and Mentorship activities.
2. Maintains open lines of communication between partners
3. Participates in project evaluations and assessments
4. Participates in the planning and facilitation of technical workshops
5. Assess readiness of health units to initiate HIV/AIDS programs.
6. Ensures compliance of projects to national guidelines and policies.
7. Representation at Program Meetings and stakeholder forums
8. Participate in Support Supervision Activities
9. Make recommendations for improvement of HIV & AIDS Services
Required Qualifications/Skills:
1. A Catholic with a recommendation from his/her parish priest
2. Medical Doctor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine
3. Masters Degree in Medicine or Public Health
4. Computer literate
5. 3 years experience in HIV/AIDS Programming
6. Knowledge of the Kenyan health sector-strategies and policies a must.
7. Experience in implementing US Government-funded projects an advantage
8. Ability to work independently and in a team
9. Proven interpersonal, leadership, and training/mentoring skills.
10. Excellent written and oral communications skills in English.
11. Willingness to travel 50% of the time within Kenya
