BRAC Uganda invites applications from qualified Ugandan Nationals to fill up the following vacant positions:

Job Title: Area Officer (Poultry and Livestock)
Job Purpose:
Area Officer (Poultry and Livestock) will be responsible for implementing Poultry and Livestock Program activities of the organization at the area level.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise, monitor quality control and evaluate volunteers, poultry and livestock farmers' field activities
• Identify the common diseases of poultry and livestock in the area and advise the farmers accordingly
• Finalize selection of volunteers, model poultry farmers and model livestock farmers
• Prepare the training modules considering the diseases which are common in respective area
• Organize, facilitate and conduct required training of all volunteers, model poultry rearers and model livestock rearers
• Coordinate vaccination program of poultry and livestock in the branches
• Assist in preparing the monthly action plan for Program Assistants (PA) and regularly follow-up the progress of PAs' activities
• Prepare monthly reports and send to supervisors and accumulate it properly in office

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Diploma in Animal Husbandry/ Animal Production from a recognized institution
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to coordinate work with the community
• Age must be 30 years and below
Job Location: Any part of Uganda
