Doctors with Africa CUAMM is a new 2 year phase of a health system strengthening project Responding to Chronic Emergency In Karamoja 4" with support from UNICEF. The purpose of the project is to strengthen the health system to be able to plan, implement and monitor service delivery leading to increased access to health services especially for children and mothers.
Applications a re invited from suitably qualified persons for the posts below. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate that they will manage to work in difficult environments of extreme scarcity and work alone with minim urn supervision. Applicants from Karamoja districts are particular encouraged to apply. Recruitment is targeting additional staff, as such staff already serving in the health units of the districts named may not be considered.
Medical Officer
Function: Provide comprehensive EMOC, general medical including preventive and promotive care and essential emergency surgical care. Supervise and mentor lower cadre staff, Organize and participate in outreach services, organize and participate in supervision of the health units in the HSD, collect, summarise and use health information.
Job requirements: MBChB or equivalent; Experience in a busy hospital setting
