Doctors with Africa CUAMM is a new 2 year phase of a health system strengthening project Responding to Chronic Emergency In Karamoja 4" with support from UNICEF. The purpose of the project is to strengthen the health system to be able to plan, implement and monitor service delivery leading to increased access to health services especially for children and mothers.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the posts below. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate that they will manage to work in difficult environments of extreme scarcity and work alone with minim urn supervision. Applicants from Karamoja districts are particular encouraged to apply. Recruitment is targeting additional staff, as such staff already serving in the health units of the districts named may not be considered.
Project officer/Technical Advisor - in one of the 6 districts]
Function: Support the DHT in planning, reporting, information management, support supervision, rollout of outreach services, VHT strengthening, training and team building, clinical supervision.Main results include improved performance of the district in child survival and development interventions and overall district health sector performance.
Job requirements: MBChB or equivalent with experience in HSD management or district health office management; MPH, MSc HSM, MSc International Health will be an added advantage
