University Research Co, LLC (URC), a US-based public health organization working in Uganda since 2005, is implementing the USAID-funded Quality Improvement Program under the Health Care Improvement Project (HCI). HCI is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions based in Kampala with occasional travel to the field:
Post: Quality Improvement Advisor
The advisor will work with MoH staff to improve care for patients with HIV
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate implementation of activities to enhance the quality improvement activities within a region
• Efficiently organize and carry out training workshops and visits to facility and district teams to improve their ability to work as a team to identify and solve problems with patient care
• Support partners to implement quality improvement as defined by the Quality of Care initiative of the Ministry of Health
• Support site and district teams to conduct regular improvement activities
• Effect the synthesis and documentation of site and district team quality improvement efforts
• Develop and update materials for trainings, learning sessions and coaching visits
• Prepare project reports as required, and update the technical team on the progress of quality improvement in the region
• Assist in program planning
• Any other responsibilities as required
Desired Qualifications:
• Degree in Medicine and registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners' Council
• At least three years experience in providing care and treatment to people with HIV
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from start up to successful completion « Experience in Quality Improvement approaches
