VACANCY: SERVICE MANAGER
Our clients, an importer, assembler, distributor, service, and repair company in the motor vehicle industry is looking to hire a Service Manager reporting to the Managing Director.
The main responsibility of this role is to oversee the service department, increase sales volumes and maximize market share.
The Primary Duties of this role will include:
• To oversee the entire service operations in the head office and the companies branches.
• To create/enhance proper working procedures.
• To develop a business plan on how to increase business and attain set targets,
• Assessing and determining workshop capability and making recommendations/implementing improvements.
• Assessing workshop staff capabilities and providing operational standards for them to attain with periodic
review to determine areas of improvement.
• Marketing the companies’ services.
• Overseeing workshop operations and provide solutions where required on service related matters.
Required Qualities – The ideal candidate will be:
• Enthusiastic and energetic.
• Innovative
• Can work under pressure
• Have a clean drivers license
Required Skills – The ideal candidate will have:
• Customer Service Skills
• Technical skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, paying close attention to detail and effective time management skills
Qualifications
• Have a Degree in Engineering/ Mechanical or its equivalent.
• Diploma in Sales/Marketing
The ideal candidate will be someone who will hit the ground running, self confident and assertive enough to establish his /her role for him/herself manage the service department. Our client is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are motivated by job satisfaction and the desire to achieve outstanding results.
The ideal candidate aged between 35 and 45 years, should have at least 5 years experience, 3 years in a similar position. The salary for this position is Ksh 80,000 gross per month.
