Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Admin. Clerk and overall supervision of the Snr. Admin./Finance Officer, the incumbent will perform the following duties and functions:

  • Drives staff members and official visitors;
  • Meets official personnel at the airport and facilitates immigration and customs formalities;
  • Collects and delivers mail or documents when required;
  • Use his own initiative through security awareness of the operational area to avoid attacks on passengers;
  • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, checks oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc., performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean;
  • Logs official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc.;
  • Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

Knowledge and skills: Completion of secondary education, valid driver’s licence, knowledge of driving rules and regulations. Good communication, mechanical skills and basic Knowledge of computer applications.

Experience: At least three yeas of job experience as a driver and safe driving record.

Languages: Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
