National Oil Corporation: Procurement Officer

Following the steady and continuous growth and expansion we have experienced over the last few years, we are looking for a talented, energetic, ambitious and self motivated individual keen on a career enhancing opportunity, to fill the position of Procurement Officer Ref: HR 03/07/10

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the incumbent will support the function in ensuring a timely and efficient sourcing of goods and services within the stipulated procurement regulations.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Draft tender documents
* Prepare and circulate tender committee, procurement committee and disposal committee meetings agenda
* Co-ordinate contracts drafting and execution
* Prepare procurement status reports.
* Co-ordinate and participate in evaluation of quotations, proposals and tenders
* Prepare statutory reports
* Initiate procurement process upon receipt of approved purchase requisitions
* Follow up outstanding orders with vendors and advise user departments and procurement manager about status of deliveries
* Ensure adherence to procurement regulations

The Requirements:
* First Degree in a related field.
* Graduate Diploma in purchase and supply
* KISM practicing certificate
* Minimum 2 years experience in supply management
* Experience in public procurement
* Experience in tender specifications development
* Experience in tendering and contracting
* Experience in tender evaluation
