Truenorth Career Map: Finance Manager

Our client is a leading professional cleaning services company in the hospitality industry.

They seek to recruit a focused, self-driven professional of high integrity in the Finance Department.

Reporting To: General Manager

Purpose of your Job
* To provide guidance and investment recommendations, in addition to leading, managing, and developing the services of the Finance department, while ensuring that all the financial management processes of the Company are delivered in accordance with the highest governance and professional standards.

1. Principal Accountabilities:

* Provide specialist financial advice, in written or oral form to the Company and its Board, Management Team and General Staff, and participate in meetings in order to ensure that all decisions are taken with appropriate and full financial advice.
* Develop strategies, and provide advice on how to implement long and short-term financial goals.
* Analyze organization financial statements, and recommend on investment actions.
* Oversee the preparation of financial reports, direct investment activities and implement cash management strategies.
* Provide a comprehensive customer focused financial support service to the Company including accounting and budgeting, financial analysis and advice, financial planning, external audit, insurance and risk management, procurement, treasury management, payroll and pensions, financial systems management, the payment of creditors and the collection of debts.
* Enable the Company’s services to operate to the highest possible standards of financial management.
* Review, develop and control the Company’s financial processes in order that they change and remain robust over time and meet the appropriate internal controls.
* Perform service management tasks including service planning, budget monitoring, staff management including recruitment, induction and appraisals, performance monitoring and statistical returns, contract management, health and safety duties, in order that Finance Department services are in accordance with company standards and policies, and staff are properly motivated to deliver the services required.
* Ensure the Treasury Management and VAT functions are carried out in accordance with proper practice and within the Company’s agreed policies and that arrangements have an appropriate balance of risk and return.
* Provide training on financial matters to Management and Staff of the Company in order that non-financial people are properly enabled to deal with the continually changing complexities of statutory requirements.

2. Minimum Qualifications:

* Education: Bachelor of Commerce Degree
* Professional Qualifications: Fully certified CPA
* Knowledge: Experience in utilizing computers, including word processing, excel, power point and Sage or Pastel accounting software
* Advantage: Experience in working for an auditing firm and heading a busy finance department in the service industry for at least 5years.

3. Remuneration:

* Kes 50,000-100,000/= Per Month
* Medical in-patient and out-patient
* Mileage allowance
