ACTED has been present in Uganda since 2007, and currently implements its interventions in Gulu. Amuru and Oyam [Acholi and Lango regions] as well as in Nakapiripirit (Karamoja region) where the organization works on a cross-border basis with North Pokot District of Kenya,

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant
Reporting to: M and E Officer
Duty Station: Nakapiripirit [Uganda]

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Obtaining all data from primary sources as stipulated in the monitoring and evaluation plan;
• Participate in needs assessment, evaluation preparation and Implementation of projects;
• Supervision of enumerators when necessary;
• Providing data to Data Officer on a monthly basis;
• Undertake routine quality control of project activities using key
• Collect and collate data as well as managing project data bases;
• Facilitate project staff to undertake routine monitoring activities;
• Carry out regular field monitoring visits to a certain project progress;
• Identify information needs, performance questions related to key indicators and targets for each project component to track progress;
• Supervise data collection and ensure data quality control in the held;
• Any other duties assigned by the M and E Officer.

Contract period: 6 months [renewable]
Qualifications and Experience:
• A minimum of one year experience in monitoring and evaluation plan
• Competence in computer packages;
• Ability to identify gaps in the existing system and to suggest way
• Ability to work in a complex environment, with short deadline;
• Very good communication skills [both spoken and written] and ability to work closely with the community;
• Flexibility and adaptability;
• Experience with an international organization an added advantage;
• Knowledge of Karamojong language an added advantage;
• Have a good attitude to work and strong timekeeping skills;
• Be able to ride a motorbike and have a license an added advantage
