World Concern International: Human Resource Officer

World Concern International which is a Christian Relief and Development organization wishes to recruit a qualified and competent person for the following position within World Concern Africa Area Office:

Human Resource Officer: Work Station:Nairobi
The overall objective of this position is to provide guidance and support to the Human Resource Department of the Africa Area Office which supports relief and development work in several countries in East and Central Africa.

He/She assists in developing policies and procedures, hiring, orientation, staff development, compensation, benefits, staff welfare, organizational compliance and record keeping in support of World Concern’s vision, mission and values.

The incumbent will report to Deputy Africa Director. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, highly motivated and competent professional in the Human Resource field.

Qualifications: (Minimum skills, education and experience required)
•Certification/Bachelors Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
•2-3 years experience in the Human Resource field in a non profit organization
•Good written/oral English communication skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills
•Advanced MS Office computer skills
•Working knowledge of Kenyan Tax and Labour laws
•Ability to organize work, manage multiple responsibilities and work as part of a team
•Proven ability to keep matters confidential
•Highly motivated self starter who demonstrates the ability to initiate and prioritize work activities
•Demonstrated servant leadership, compassion, integrity and the ability to address and resolve conflicts
•Ability to research, evaluate and analyze new techniques, methods and procedures
•Ability to work alone on a broad variety of projects
•A strong faith, reliance and lifestyle commitment to Jesus Christ

Contract Length: One year with possibility of renewal at the end of the period.
