NTV-UGANDA requires high calibre people with to fill the vacancies listed below in the Advertising and Production Departments.
Post:Librarian-Trainee
This position in the Production Department ensures that all video and audio material is properly received, stored and archived for current and future use on news, local programmes and commercials.
Main Responsibilities:
• Ensure adequate stocks of CDs, DvDs, mini DVs, any other filming and storage hardware required by users.
• Archive all information resources, periodicals video and audio material received by classifying information received from the Newsroom, Production and Programming departments
• Retrieve stored and achieved information for in-house users
• Advise and ensure the proper disposal of expired, damaged and unwanted stock
• Issue video tapes to library users and ensure they are returned on time and due dates
• Sell newsclips, in-house production and other material to users who require them in accordance with the established procedure
• Ensure periodicals such as newspapers are bound
• Develop, update and maintain the library database
Academics and Experience:
• Degree in Library and Information Science
• 1 year working experience
