Meru South Farmers Sacco Ltd is a fast growing institution with its headquarters in Chuka Town. The Sacco has four operational branches in Meru South and Maara Districts. The Sacco wishes to recruit suitably qualified and experienced individuals in the following positions.
ACCOUNTANT – REF No 01/ACC
Job profile
Reporting to the General Manager/CEO the Accountant will have the following duties among others:
• Verifies and checks all accounting documents
• Communicates and advises the management regularly on financial status of the Society and funds available for programs
• Ensures accurate and timely record keeping including Members Personal Accounts (MPAs)
The candidate
The candidate must possess the following qualifications
• B.Com Degree or any other business related degree from a recognized institution.
• CPA (K), ACCA
• 3 years work experience at a senior level in a busy accounting environment, preferably within the co-operative movement or financial institution
• Computer literacy in accounting packages and any other Sacco software
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Below 35 years of age
INTERNAL AUDITOR – REF No. 02/IAD
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Internal Auditor will have the following duties among others:
• Carry out risk analysis of Society’s operations
• Appraise Society’s compliance to laid down internal controls and procedures, statutory requirements and stakeholder regulations
The candidate
The candidate must possess the following qualifications
• Bachelor of Commerce or related degree from a recognized university or, CPA(K), ACCA
• Those with CIA will have added advantage
• Diploma in Co-operatives Audit an added advantage
• Minimum 3 years audit experience in a busy audit organization/department
• Computer proficiency in computer application, especially in accounting packages and systems
• Must have been involved in audit service of financial statements
• Knowledge of various Sacco software systems an added advantage
• Knowledge of Government of Kenya and other stakeholders rules and SASRA regulations
• Below 35 years of age.
MARKETING MANAGER – REF NO. 03/MKM
Job profile
Reporting to the General Manager/CEO, the Marketing Manager will have the following duties among others:
• Plans, organizes and co-ordinates marketing activities for the Society
• Creates rapport between Society and the external stakeholders
The candidate
The candidate must possess the following qualifications
• B.Com (marketing) with at least 3 years experience preferably in the financial sector
• Those in possession of a Diploma in Marketing and over five years of experience in related sector will be considered
• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and public relation skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Outgoing and result oriented.
• Below 35 years of age
