Maisha Bora Sacco has an ambitious growth agenda contained in a 5-year Strategic plan and wishes as part of this programme to recruit a dynamic and result oriented individual to fill the position of General Manager
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager shall have overall responsibility for the management of the Sacco and shall directly report to the Board.
The GM shall implement the Sacco Strategic Agenda and ensure sustained growth of the business and members satisfaction
Key duties include:
* Advise the Board on both short and long terms investment options, propose and execute capital expenditures programmes
* Managing affairs of the Sacco on behalf of the Board, liaison with external agencies and exercise overall responsibility for all other products
* Overall responsibility for financial and administration controls in the Sacco including execution and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
* Advice on the portfolio balance and profitability of loaning options, assess risk on all loaning policy
Minimum qualification and experience:
* A minimum of a first degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Finance and a CPA (K) or CPS (K). An MBA will be an added advantage
* Five years relevant managerial experience in a reputable financial institution
* Experience in project management and implementation of new products and services within a service oriented environment.
Other requirements:
* Excellent communication skills including working knowledge and proficiency in IT, in particular, the financial systems
* Good understanding and knowledge of Budgeting processes and project justifications through Cost Accounting & Profitability Analysis
* Must be a Team player and leader with strong interpersonal skills
