Cherangany Dairy Group is a farmer owned dairy with over 2000 registered farmers located in Kachibora in Trans-Nzoia District Kenya. The Dairy, established in 2009, is seeking a highly innovative individual with strong business and entrepreneurial skills to fill the position of CHILLING PLANT MANAGER.
Reporting to the management committee, the Manager will be in charge of all cooling plant operations and will be an advisor to the Management Committee. S/he will supervise the performance of all staff members, develop work plans and oversee their implementation, be accountable for procurement decisions and manage supplier relations.
The manager will be expected to steer growth, drive efficiency and ensure profitability of the cooling plant.
Minimum Qualifications:
• University degree in any business related course or a diploma in Co-operative
Management. Those candidates with accounting/ Finance, food and dairy technology qualifications will have an added advantage.
• 2 years experience in managing cooling plants or management experience in a related field.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment towards problem resolution.
• Drive, commitment and other entrepreneurial skills
• Computer literate
• Excellent analytical skills
