All Saints’ Cathedral Church; Cathedral Accountant

All Saints’ Cathedral Church Nairobi seeks to recruit the Cathedral Accountant.

The Cathedral Accountant will be in charge of the finance function at the All Saints’ Cathedral church and will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting at the Cathedral.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial policies and strategies on the Cathedral financial plan.
• Oversee the smooth management and supervision of accounts department.
• Design and implement systems and control for monitoring and managing financial processes and procedures.
• Provide financial reports to the management for effective decision making.
• Manage the preparation of all accounting and financial data and ensure compliance to standards and statutory regulations.
• Facilitate the budgeting process, ensure budgetary control procedures are implemented.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in business, commerce or economics with CPA (K) or equivalent qualification
• Must have gained 5 years experience in accounting at senior level of management.
• Knowledge/ understanding of computer packages and computerized accounting systems.
• Good leadership skills.
• Must be born again Christian preferably Anglican.
